I guess you could call this one an "odd quote", and maybe applies to aerodynamics when talking about aerodynamic template models and NACA airfoil/wing shapes perhaps?
Quote:
all models are wrong, some are useful

As read today in another forum, but also has it's own Wikipedia page.
All models are wrong
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_models_are_wrong
Quote:
"All models are wrong" is a common aphorism in statistics; it is often expanded as "All models are wrong, but some are useful". It is usually considered to be applicable to not only statistical models, but to scientific models generally. The aphorism recognizes that statistical or scientific models always fall short of the complexities of reality but can still be of use.
The aphorism is generally attributed to the statistician George Box, although the underlying concept predates Box's writings.

That's probably the easiest. Perched on the back like a farm tractor.

Presumably not. On a sidenote, it's impossible to remind the forward-control conversions which used to be done to bonnetted trucks in my country to use their frames to assembly buses in the '50s and '60s before Mercedes-Benz took over much of the local truck and bus market.

Helps move large aircraft parts that may be aerodynamic, and it's odd looking.
