He'd be wrong. I never found the trick, and had to work my entire career. Unemployment was involuntary. I'm [only somewhat] envious of young folks these days and their job opportunities.

OTOH I do think the hippies were right (being as they were the true conservatives in the buzz-cut, high-back-and-sides 1960s). So did Bucky Fuller.

The skateboard comment was a reference to recent events in Kenosha, WI.

I got that reference, as it was among about half (3/4 perhaps by now?) of yours that I make the connection.

We know you're partial to the hippies and ride a bicycle, which is why I thought CR's comment was apropos of you.

I find myself more partial to some groups than others, but all have flaws. I'm not comfortable being affiliated since I will not abide by absurdity when I see it.

That is entirely depended on the weight and fitness of the bicycle rider. In my teens and early 20's I could hit 30 mph on flat ground which is more than a legal e-bike will do.

This guy managed to kill a pedestrian on a fixie:

Sure, and I could google an example of someone that stepped off a curb funny and died.

That's not reason to consider driving intoxicated to be equivalent to riding a bicycle.

Depends on the rider.
I have reached speeds in excess of 60 km/h by bike in flat land, but at 53 kg on a 9kg bike there isn't that much energy behind that.

However every crash where you fall over is potentialy deadly as just falling on your head might kill you.
This is a rather minimal risk though, even in the netherlands where cyclling is big, the ratio between people killed by car drivers and bike riders has drivers overrepresented by an insane factor.
However getting run over by a 2 ton heavy vehicle sure is a lot more deadly and harmfull.

I had a crash with a car before while riding a scooter.
That was only a Golf and only at 50 km/h, but I flew over it and was unconcious for minutes.
If I didn't have bones of steel, I would have probably broken a few.

Nolo Contendere

Right now I'm listening to Tim Pool, Joe Rogan and Alex Jones (and Luke and Ian and Lydia (and Drew Hernandez)) go at it.

No contest was always my least favorite thing about law. Stand by a position and fight it out to the end. Guilty but not guilty isn't a thing.

Anyhow, I'm listening to Dave Rubin at the moment and will eventually get to the others. Too many phone calls today so I'm falling behind on my listening...

This subject just reminded me (very abstractly) that I jokingly suggested we name our next daughter Freedom. Then whenever I get angry at her I can shout "FREEEEEEDOMMM.... stop doing that". I haven't yelled yet since I've been married, so that would be uncharacteristic of me.

I do like Liberty... Right to Self-defense is a bit wordy.

No. I was directing that to some idiots from my country, who ride bicycles just to pose as if they were "saving the earth" while they basically intend to spread hate against motor vehicles and nothing else.

I didn't take it personally. I may be an anarchist, but I'm no Social Democrat FFS.

Where my son was three years old, he would tell people he was meeting, "I'm free! I'm free!"

Scott Adams is saying that with the verdict he felt an energy lift off his shoulders. After cognitive dissonance dies down there will be a shift in the zeitgeist.

Even David Wilcock is echoing X22 Report -- there are still moves left on the chessboard, but it's inexorable from here on out.

I'll describe one situation that demonstrates why a guy on a bicycle riding on public roads should be charged with DWI just like a motorist:

I get on my bicycle drunk and wander off into the traffic lanes like a good drunk is wont to do. A mom in her minivan full of kids hits me right after I turn in front of her, she panics and swerves into an 18-wheeler which then crashes into a school bus full of kids.

It doesn't matter what I weigh, either.
