Here's a handy tip for those of us in colder (-20°F & below type nights) climes, I can buy e10 or e0 at the same pump, when we're due for wicked cold weather, I throw a few gallons of e10 in for the gas line antifreeze properties.
Other than that, I buy e0 given the choice.
Say what you want, ethanol as fuel is complete BS in my studied opinion, there is absolutely no denying the carbon footprint of it is larger compared to just plain gas, and it certainly screws with food prices.

Say what you want, I don't think the carbon footprint is any bigger, and the commodities price swings are due to other factors.

My new snow thrower Sears:Snow shooter
Can't use E85 or any gas with more than 10% Ethanol..
So, the salesman tells me just add some of this stuff to the Mass gas.
Okay, cool.. Let's buy some..
Sears: gas gunk
If I'm not mistaken, doesn't that stuff have Ethanol in it??
Am I gonna to have to buy Premium gas for my snow thrower??
Or, will I have to import regular gas from out of state?

StaBil is 95% Hydrotreated light naphthenic distillate solvent extract.
Re: E15: It is my impression that when going to a gas station, instead of having a couple of thugs hold you down while a third thug shoves an E15 pump nozzle into one of your orifices, they are simply going to have another choice at the pumps, and E10 (or whatever else) is still available.

I would love seeing an E0 pump at my local station..
I use StaBil in my 5 gallon cans, and it seems to work okay.
No sure if it would be any good for preventing Ethanol damage. That new machine wasn't cheap..
But, I'm wondering why old 1978 snow blower carb leaks so much gas these days.
Maybe I used some bad gas in it.?.
I'm not 100% Retired, once in a while, they call me in to work on some project that requires my expertise.
I worked a couple of weeks back in the spring.. Can't say I've missed working this summer.
I've been able to do some bike riding this year and I've even lost about 25 pounds of fat..
Not working is good for my health.. (One reason I retired early)..
The only bad side effect (of getting healthy) was my heart rate slowed way down.. 45 BPM.
Now, I'm trying some new high BP meds and doing better.

No, I meant why didn't you research your questions? You were in research right? Took me mere minutes to do it and post up a link...
Re: snowblower carb leaking: if it's a float bowl carb like 99% of them are, it would be an issue with the needle valve and/or float or possibly the bowl gasket. Pretty easy to pop the bowl off and see.

It was so long ago.. I recall looking for the leak back when the fuel line went bad.
When I was installing a new line, I spent some time trying to locate the leak.
I did get it to slow down a lot, but it still had a slow leak somewhere.
The last few years, I left the tank dry and added just enough gas to get the job done.
I'll have to look at it again now, that the fuel line is looking poorly again.
Maybe I'll find a fuel cut-off for the new line.
I'm more of an electronics guy and know very little about ICEs.
Heck, I don't even like changing the oil on our cars.
Sorry I bored you with my retirement stuff..
I'm getting too old to be post here I guess.

That didn't bore me anywhere near as much as the constant whining about ethanol.
Anyone got a better idea?

Sure Frank. We as should be subsidizing the RAM Wing. It's proven technology.
