I wouldn't doubt it to be OEM, if it fits the C100 (which is known back here as Honda Biz).

Now I see it's not the same stuff, the currently available plastic-bodied C100 Biz uses a 12-volt electrical system, and IIRC Honda doesn't provide 6-volt stuff anymore. BTW have you never considered to upgrade yours to 12-volt?

Not really considered a 12 volt upgrade, but with decent points and condensers a thing of the past, at least in the USA, I like the idea of not having to pull the flywheel to work on the points and condenser.

Finding 6-volt spark plugs and lamps is not so easy nowadays. I have seen even collection cars upgraded to 12-volt...

44 miles.

Changed the oil twice, left over 10w 40 synthetic (.6 liter), from the Suzuki (1.3 liter). Got a flywheel puller for the next time I have to remove it. Still trying to get it less lean on acceleration. Bought a copper washer for the drain plug. I might ride it up to the car show today, about 2 miles away. 45 MPH speed limit and Fridays heavy traffic may keep me from riding it. Man this thing uses very little gas.

Found a brand new NGK plug in the bag that came with it. Valves set. Stock points and condenser (original on the bike when I got it). The CDI would not work without modification. Seller offered to take it back but shipping will eat me up.

Plug looks good after those miles.

Got the speedo working right with a little oil.

Rides good, stops decent.

Rode it to the car show tonight, lots of people interested in the bike. I changed the oil again and used some 10w40 synthetic (motorcycle specific) that was left over from the Suzuki GZ 250. Anyone have an opinion on the 10w40 synthetic. The original specs were 20 weight in winter and 30 in summer. I think multi viscosity oil was fairly new when this bike was made but with an air cooled engine that is screaming at 40 MPH quality synthetic would seem like the best choice. No pressure lubrication on the 50cc engine.

The wife passed me on the way home. Told me the tail light was bright but the headlight was pitiful. I think it's a 20 watt bulb. No night riding on this bike.

Convert that headlamp to LED. Brighter in any case, and it'll save what few watts that little motor generates for moving you down the road.

I think you will be fine with 40 synthetic, but I would probably run a 30. Rotella T5 10W-30 is an inexpensive and durable synthetic-blend that you should be able to find at an auto parts store like Napa, Advance, etc.

142 mpg.

Finally got it running right, installed the missing air filter cover (got it today with a new air filter). That created just enough restriction to make it pull smoothly in mid power ranges instead of surging pretty bad.

Did a 5 mile ride around the neighborhood and used 4.5 ounces of fuel including some idling, talking to a neighbor.

142 MPG, I'll take some more readings before starting a fuel log.

Got the bike greased today. I've had the grease gun for probably 20 years and it's been empty hanging on a nail probably the last 10 years, originally got it for my 1937 Ford Coupe. Heck I forgot how to reload a cartridge! Got it back together and managed to grease the original fittings by just pushing hard on the nozzle since the fittings have no taper and they are pressed in place, so I would have to tap them for normal zerks.
