That's the goal. I'm looking for the smallest legal external mirror I can get for the driver's side, any suggestions?

It really depends on how your state law is worded. From our wiki page for Vermont:

Mirror Laws by State (U.S.) - EcoModder

Quote:
§ 1305. Mirror required
All motor trucks and motor vehicles towing a trailer or semi-trailer shall be equipped with a mirror not less than five inches in diameter or with less than 25 square inches of reflective area so attached that the driver shall at all times have a reflected view of other vehicles approaching from the rear. The mirror shall be attached in a manner that complies with the width requirements of section 1431 of this title. The extended rear-view mirror shall be retracted or removed when not towing a trailer or semi-trailer. (Amended 2001, No. 18, § 1, eff. May 8, 2001.)
Wisconsin just says:

Quote:
No person shall operate any motor vehicle upon a highway unless such vehicle is equipped with a mirror so located as to reflect to the operator a view of the roadway for a distance of 200 feet to the rear of such vehicle.
So, technically I'd say I don't need any external mirrors because I can use the internal rear view.

Now, I just need to figure out what to use to cover the missing mirror mounts. I might fool around with 3d printing.

EDIT: I think I'm going to pull the rear wiper out after I do this mod too. Anyone know what size plug to get for the hole?

Update: here's my current thread on my mirror delete and camera replacement:

http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...ras-34652.html

I'll do a full update to this thread when that's done.

Also, my rear riper delete plug arrived:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I've been on the fence about removing it as it's vaguely useful for snow, but honestly once I'm moving, rain and snow doesn't accumulate on the back window anyway.

I'd like to delete the rear window washer system and the exterior antenna mount too. One of the first things I did to the car was take off the antenna, and the rear washer fluid system is easily one of the most useless features of the car. If I can save a pound or two, it's gone.

Got some fresh modifications done. Upped my lower grill block from 50 to 100% (upper is already 100%), redid my warm air intake, deleted my rear wiper and motor. There are a few more things I'd like to get done but the wind was gusting at more than 50mph and the temperature hit -5F just as I went inside.

Clean engine bay:

Grille block at 100%:

Rear trim piece has two plastic rivets that must be removed, then pops off to reveal the wiper motor.

Wiper motor out:

Hole left in the glass:

Hole plugged:

Wiper and motor going into storage:
