The other day was my 2nd fill in the Civic. 47.2 mpg is a bit better than last time. A lot less freeway driving helped I'm sure.
I also had a great commute to work this morning. I used more EOC and P&G than normal.

Yup. That's how it's done!

Hey Daox, do u think EOC on an Auto trans like the one on my 04 Civic EX will kill it? Or hurt it? Not that it really matters anymore because im rolling deep with my new to me XFi metro but thats something ive wondered for a while. Online searches on this are mixed. Some say its fine others say its horrible. What do u think bud? Also how about coasting in neutral instead of drive? I noticed my civic holds on when i let off the gas like as if i was driving a manual trans car. What do u think about this?

If the Civic manual says its flat towable, its okay to EOC. Most automatics are not flat towable though. I've coasted plenty of automatics in neutral though, that seems to be fine. There really isn't a good way to coast in drive.

Ah ok. Well good to know that. I still drive the civic and obviously want to still get good mpgs. I wont be driving it as much but ill have to beacuse my wife isnt to fond of being in a 1600 lbs tiny hatchback in the very angry streets of Detroit. This over here must be road rage central lol

I filled up again last night. The numbers were a bit disappointing, but still not bad at all. The total for the tank came to 43.7. The odd thing is I think I did more EOC on this tank... Oh well, still not bad.

4th fill up in the Civic. 45.5 mpg. I'm quite happy with that considering how hard I tried for it on this tank.
