Link 2 worked for me as well.

Would you talk about yours if they showed up again next year (and you had yours on)?

I don't know about Matt, but when I get a boat tail fashioned for the CRX, I'd talk to anyone about it. I used to be pretty shy, and I don't know what changed it, but I'd talk to anyone about it now. I'm probably a good match for a boat tail since I'd be willing to talk to anyone about it, and I wouldn't be embarrassed. The way my car looks now even I poke fun at it for being ugly, but I'm still proud of the mileage and the craftsmanship.

Will, if we both bring boattails to the same event, we will have a drag race (the simultaneous coastdown kind).

[QUOTE=brucepick;175479]moTthediesel -
You definitely should have been in the "standings" as posted by GGP.
Completely aside from your FE achievements, building the Porsche to run on diesel is a win in its own right.
I almost wrote that it was truly a triumph, but some Brits might not appreciate the remark.[/QUOTE
Thank you very much!
I really don't know how the results are scored, do they grade against what each car's EPA rating is? That would of course be a problem for my car as it not only pre-dates EPA ratings, it actually pre-dates the EPA it's self
No problem though, we had a great time and would love to do it again. Next time with (of course!) further mods. I'm thinking -- skinny tires on my old steely wheels, under car pans, and 4 wheel skirts. Maybe something like this --
And for Triumph?? Not a bad idea, perhaps a GT6 with a 1.9 TDI lump?

I don't mind talking about it ... to people ... in person. I did lots of that when I had the prototype on the car!
But I don't like TV (other media, less so). It gets edited down for eye candy and sound bites, and short attention spans, and sometimes with an editorial "spin" that isn't really related to what your project is about.
I'm actually giving a presentation about EcoModder & the ForkenSwift this weekend... live, and in person.

That would be excellent!
At last year's first AMEC event we were close together on a few long downhills. I recall passing your Sube (EOC of course) on one, and having to time a pulse so as not to catch you on another.

Re: Canadian Discovery TV
I got a message from Steve Sheahan yesterday, he is the producer of the program on the Green Grand Prix. He said that the segment on our car is due to be broadcast this week, we're looking forward to seeing it

Very well done Tom, the car and the video sequence.

Neil,
I'm not a pc whiz, but do you have Adobe flash player 10 on your pc? If not, try downloading it HERE. That's what my computer uses to watch the clips on Discovery.
Mike
