Looks like a pretty conventional design to be so slippery.

... proving that there's a lot of low-hanging fruit that can be plucked to improve aero efficiency of "conventional" cars without messing much with the general shape and the "consumer acceptance" issue.
Maybe what we're figuring out is that even Cd 0.26 really isn't that slippery.

It is definitely getting there. I think .23 is something we/they should aim for.

Don't get me wrong - definitely not complaining! Progress is good, and I think we should give kudos to the companies that are making an effort and lumps of coal to the ones who don't.

I'd be really surprised if it didn't have an active grille. Other high end cars have it now. (BMW comes to mind.)

The bigger the car the easier it is to lower the drag coefficient while still keeping a normal looking design. For example, I bet the angle between the top/back edge of the roof and the top/back edge of the trunk is the same as the body angle of the Prius in the same area. Both vehicles also seem to have the greenhouse indented/angled inwards from the bottom of the body. All the aero improvements besides those are via the cooling system, underbody, and wheel wells, so they won't detract from the appearance.

Mmm.... Audi A8....
*blink* *blink*
Huh? Wha? Sorry, got a little lost there.
I'm a bit biased though.
I wonder what kind of FE one could manage in an R8.
