Very much looking forward to what you do with the Metro though!
Thanks!

I feel bad that I never got to "finish" the Sti though.

It's not finished until it hits the scrap heap. You're really showing me up, jedi. I got an LGT, started hypermiling and modding, then moved to a Fit and did more. You got an STI and wound up in a Metro. I'm looking forward to following your next build!

True that. I hope to get more things done on the geo since there is so much info out there already. I've been reading through your build thread all day yesterday and taking notes, lol.

The thing with the Sti is that I had to figure out a lot of things (ie, the kill switch has never been done before on that car so that was a lot of trial and error).

That's true! I think it just goes to show that no matter how much we love our Subaru's, they are not meant to excel in ecomodding.

Thanks for the kinds words!

I'm still enjoying the Sti on the weekends though. Even my fiance noticed that I'm starting to drive it like "normal." lol

I already burned through half a tank over the weekend with just running errands

Thanks for the fun read. I just picked up a '99 Impreza L to alleviate some of the miles I was putting on my '11 forester xt. I'm going to be trying a lot of the mods you did with hopes of the same results.

Glad I can be of service to fellow Subaru owners!

Whats going on jedi sol just joined these forums and am doing mods to my car now to improve aerodynamics to get a few better mpg's out of her. read your previous posts about having to source your underbody aero trays from japan...
Well good news haha you don't! I'll post up the link for the parts numbers a little bit later on but the underbody aero panels from the crosstrek fir our cars just fine ... need to trim 3 5/8" strips off each side to make a groove that fits directly underneath the stock plastic side skirts. very easy mos to do.. bought both the left and right side panels directly from the subaru dealership who special ordered them for me for $137 including all the under body pop clips for them and the bolts. ill post some pics up later on my project thread for you to check out once off work but with these.. there is zero worry of the panels ever coming off just sprayed each threaded hole with some rubberized paint and the bolt heads once it was mounted to help weatherize everything and its good to go.
