I notice that the new Mirage uses a OEM warm air intake. The opening is nearly in the center of the engine bay. Interesting.

Annnnnnd... they've just announced they're likely bringing the Mirage sedan to North America. No word on powertrain -- there was some corporate murmuring about a turbo for the U.S. to handle the slightly heavier (~40 kg / ~88 lbs) 3-box layout.

It's not all that heavy. Performance is about par with the Spark (the hatchback IRL is faster than the Chevrolet).

That might change with a full-load.

If they're going to turbocharge it, they'll need a lot of chassis development to fine-tune the wallowy handling.
