Your Metro is silver and his Mirage is black. Maybe that makes a difference?

Nope, I printed that one in ABS I am pretty sure. If its multiple pieces, its ABS. My small printer does ABS really well, but its only 5"x5". The bigger one is 12"x12" but it can't do ABS yet.

This also means I have steel wheels with wheel covers. I think I'd like to do smooth wheel covers. The OE covers that are shown are pretty flat, perhaps modable to be a bit smoother? We'll see.
In other news, my mirror blanking plate has not held up well to the heat of summer. It was printed in PLA material and well... you get the idea. I need to finish and upgrade to my printer so I can print this with ABS or some other material that can handle the heat. For the time being, I have a mirror again.

You should try Lexan, black spray paint on the inside surface, and clear silicone. I used that for my mirror delete and its still holding up really well. No leaks either. Exactly the same as installed.

I am really liking these new Hankooks Kinergy ST tires. Yesterday I finally pumped them up to 50 psi. Previously, they were at 25-30 from the tire shop. I have been getting about 60 mpg on the MFD on the way to work. But today it read 64! I am shocked that there was this big of a difference. I hope it's not a data fluke.

I am not shocked. :P
Congrats on the new record.
Does this mean a 60 MPG tank is in your future??

These Kinergy ST tires do great at higher pressure, it’s probably not a data fluke. Congrats on the record!

I certainly hope I can pull a 60 mpg tank out of this car. I have been doing a lot more p&g with EOC lately to see what it can really do though.
I am also planning on taking yet another attempt at my alternator delete circuit soon. I would love to get that working.

What battery setup are you planning on using?

I already have a group 24 lead acid deep cycle battery in the car. I accidentally killed the OE starting battery a while back. I knew this was a mod I wanted to do, so I got the deep cycle instead of a starting battery. Ironically, it was a little cheaper too.

I had my best commute to work today. It's Friday, so lighter traffic than normal which allowed me some space to coast more. This was trying pretty hard. Not doable every day.
I also used my block heater for the first time since winter. This seemed to really help despite the ambient temperature being around 55F.
