I would ask for the replacement of the full pack with the newer type.

FYI, Jack (Enginer guy) responded quickly. He asked I get a voltage reading on all cells to make sure the rest are good. I checked them all and all were good except the two ones in the picture. They were both 0V.

Wow, yeah I haven't updated this in quite some time.
I got my new cells. I removed the PHEV kit. Its been sitting in my office since. I did hook up the new cells to the balancers in an attempt to get it all set to go back in the car. Just never reinstalled it.
I have found out that there is a new 16 cell balancer that automatically shuts off the charger and dc to dc converter though. This seemingly takes care of the problems associated with the kit. I emailed Jack just yesterday in fact to get one. I haven't gotten a response yet though.

Any more updates? I've been trying to catch up on this thread over the past few days when I stumbled on this forum.
A friend of mine is interested in this kit and asked me to help him install it. I wanted to do some reading about it first. Glad I did....

Jack was just at the xprize competition that went on recently and couldn't get to my request right away. I'll be sending a follow up email today to see whats going on.

The new balancer has arrived. It is a much more robust looking unit. I have it hooked up and charging the pack now.

Hmmm....
Charger, balancer, and 48V of batteries.
You wouldn't want to loan those out for an EV motorcycle would you?
