oversize tires
lower grill block
58mph (GPS)
(AMAZING TAIL WIND!!!!!)

got 28.1 coming back

Well, since it was 'wind aided' I don't want to take too much credit........

rarely is the wind blowing directly at my back on hwy 35.

Wicked tailwind can be awesome.

I remember being very excited to see 70+ mpg in the Firefly/Metro once, at the posted speed limit on one leg of a trip.

The best part is when you don't have to turn around and drive back into what is now a headwind. The BEST BEST part is when the tail wind switches 180 degrees to the opposite direction for the return trip the next day.

I've taken I10 with wind like that, but a headwind on the way west and a tailwind coming back. Had over 32 mpg in the Accord V6 through the Hill Country.
