516,000 Didn't take long to rack this past 1K miles up. I used this car to take my mom to the eye Dr. one day which ran about 150 miles on it and another day I drove it to Nashville and back while my brother was in the hospital which put about 200 miles on it.

I think I'm currently turning about 1,200 miles a month, based on fill ups about every two weeks, at 600 miles or so per fill.

I have a fairly short commute compared to many here, but the sheer number of times I have to make my commute, being on call, is what really racks up the miles.

The only regular commute I have now since I am disabled is taking my wife to work and picking her up which is only about 20 miles per day, but back before I became disabled I worked construction and was sometimes on jobs where I'd put 1000+ miles per week on this car. I'd hate to have to drive that much now considering the price of gas.

That's a lot of driving. My commute to work is about 7.5 miles each way, so I'm at about 75 miles of commuting per week. With other driving added in, I'm usually between 100 and 200 miles per week, depending.

Nothing wrong with driving less, like a few of you I was driving over 700 miles a week and now I average less than 80 unless visiting relatives once twice a month. I would love to get my truck on the highway on occasion to see the improvements that were done but I have other vehicles that are much more economical so it stays in the driveway.

Still love to see Ford Man's progress in this thread it goes to show proper maintenance and good driving habits pay off in the long run.

The progress on this next 1k miles will probably move a little slower. My wife had surgery about a week and a half ago so I haven't been taking her to and from work. I just put about 1500 miles on the '97 Escort between Tuesday afternoon and Sunday morning. We had to make an unexpected trip from Russellville, KY to Southport, NC after our 24 year old son passed away last Monday from a massive heart attack.
