57 mpg in rain with headlights

Got 56.94 mpg over 56 miles to work today. In rain with headlights, fan and wipers running.

Alternator is disabled electrically, can be quickly reactivated via switch under hood.

I recently added a WalMart Group 29 deep cycle marine battery that runs headlights and starter. Previously set up lithium pack runs the rest of the car. Range is about three hours with headlights on using this setup.

Bruce,

Thanks for doing the mods to your car to improve mileage. It's great to part of a community where efficiency is rated so highly.

More more oil we can keep in the ground, the better.

Jim.
