Hey, head on out to Pull-A-Part, find an Accord like yours, pull its mirrors. Cut the mirror off from the mounting. Bondo the cut-off nub, sand, prime and paint. Fits like factory but shouldn't look too bad, and you'll still have your original mirrors for a quick replacement if you need them.

That's the plan, yeah. Just haven't gotten around to doing it yet; the nearest such place is over an hour away, and I'm a bit short on tools that can cut through any metal heavier/tougher than body panels. But it will be done.
Thanks for the suggestion!

It's illegal to remove the external rearview mirrors where I live. Some older cars can still have only the driver's side external rearview mirror, but it's not so usual, and even some vintage collection cars are retrofitted with passenger-side mirrors.
Anyway, even if you would consider to get a quick-release setup for the mirrors, maybe the motorcycle mirrors would still be good due to their lower drag.

It's not so unusual to adapt motorcycle mirrors in cars, even an uncle of mine have done it a few times.

Yeah, I'd just rather remove the mirrors entirely, and if I have to use mirrors I'll want to put the stock ones back on as they'll fit perfectly (removing worry about insulating against noise and sealing against water) and be remotely adjustable from inside.

Is the internal adjust of the stock mirrors in your Accord manual or electric?

It's electronic. Also there's a fairly large area that needs to be sealed against water, and when I drove with the mirrors removed the wind noise was quite loud so I'd need sound insulation. And the one side of the mirrors is holding in place part of the window trim that the window slides up into to maintain a watertight seal.

That might be a real mess to deal when you finally delete the mirrors. You may take some special care to not damage the electric connectors if you're looking for a quick-release setup...

I don't need it to be quick release. Only reason I'll need to put the mirrors back on is if I'm packing the car so full of things it obscures my view, in which case I'll have plenty of time to put the mirrors back on. And they're not hard to do, easier than in my last car in fact (where I had to pull off the door panels to connect the mirror electrical connection).
