I just had to share these; I hope "Some Guy" and "Chuck" don't get mad at me for it! LOL

I added acetone to my 1986 Ford Escort, and I got 83 mpg city/178mpg highway. Also, my Escort broke the land speed record (although someone with a 1993 Geo Prizm loaded with acetone and wood alcohol beat my speed right afterwards). Also, my car has developed sentience and a cool red led panel on the front of the hood. We travel around the country fighting crime, now, and my perm has never looked better.
Seriously, it all happened, thanks to acetone. Don’t let the capitalist oil-barons fool you, the only reason they don’t add acetone to all fuel is they want you to keep using more gasoline than necessary and paying less per gallon than they could charge for such “enhanced” super-fuel.

Basically you have an upgraded version of my engine, and I'm getting around 35mpg without too much trouble. Keep the speed under 60mph and coast in neutral on long hills and you should get your goal. Avoid city driving as much as possible too and reduce the number of trips you make helps as well.

I've never liked advice like "Avoid X type of driving"... specifically because I think it artificially inflates your result.
Granted, you can park outside the city and ride a bike in, or something, but being realistic, not many people are willing to do this, so on the whole, "avoid city driving as much as possible" just isn't a viable piece of advice, especially if you end up putting yourself out to do it.
Just because you're getting better mileage doesn't mean you should take the longer route, metaphorically speaking.
Frank - I've had that site bookmarked for a couple years now.. I'm sure I've read all the "facts". LOL.

after searching in european forums, I found many users who posted results after using acetone. I post some of them. Unfortunately, many of these cars are not released in US.
