Aero version of a Metro

Looking at the changes in the drawings of the stock metro verses the more aero design, do you seen something that would not be good for reducing drag?

not be good

The only thing I'd mention would be the angle of the diffuser. You may need it to be that steep to protect it from ground strikes, while rolling up or down driveway ramps. If not, lowering it might cut drag a bit more.4-degrees is the maximum for a 'short' diffuser.2.8-degrees for 'long.'

Check out the Dolphin by Dave Cloud. Search on this site, I have seen this car in the Seattle area. It is very slick.

This is an aerometro

Just eyeballing it, I would say the slope in the back of the car is too steep to keep attachment and may actually cause more turbulence than stock.

We have a tool on the site to help you create the ideal aerodynamic shape. You can upload your image and try it here.

https://ecomodder.com/forum/tool-aero-template.php

I did yours real quick, but your tires aren't horizontal. That'll effect things a little bit.

Does the tool take fineness ratio into account?

Is it still running? Or was this a while ago? I've seen pictures of it floating around but I just read the threads on it today. Pretty darn cool build; it mainly just needed was lithium batteries for far less weight. Regenerative braking and lighter wheels would've been a plus too, but overall for the cost it's pretty good. Bodywork is quite good from the pics as well.

Yes, but....

If you look at The Template from fore-and-aft it's an half-circular arc. Your Metro is not.

Two things that might make for a better fit, Mair and the superellipse.

This is for a torpedo body. Start with a straight tail at 44-45° and find a nice radius curve; then truncate as necessary.
