While the 3-stage would offer lean burn and near 130HP on the top end, the VTEC-E engine found in the VX would work just as well for mpg if not slightly better than the 3-stage thanks to roller rockers, smaller throttle body and intake runners.

130hp is much more power than I would ever need on my rounds. I rarely use the full power of the current 102hp engine, so the 93hp VX engine would suffice for my normal driving.

Your Aerocivic is awesome. OEM's need to come and take a look at it, and build me one. It's more or less the concept i want. Super-Highway Cruiser.

I noticed that the areocivic will be hitting 500,000 miles soon! That is amazing.

They'll get a chance to see it at Hybridfest this year. One of the reasons I built it was because the OEM's had nothing out there that could get the highway mileage I was looking for. And the low aero drag results in reduced load on the engine and longer engine life.

Basjoos has me on mileage for sure... I took out my Z1 engine with just a tick over 380K miles on it last week and threw in a freshly rebuilt Z1.

Basjoos: I have a tentative buyer for my D15Z1 motor now, but I have a feeling he might flake. if he does, would you be interested in buying my motor for a swap into the Aerocivic? You'd have the potential for 100+mpg easily.

I appreciate the offer but don't have the facilities here, tools, and experience to do a top end rebuild (rings, valve seals) on an engine.

No worries, just checking if you'd be interested.

Lean burn Aerocivic would be epic. (Epic-er?)
