I sold the aerocivic to a young man who splits his time between New Hampshire and upstate NY. He competes in bicycle racing and wants to use the car for traveling to racing events. Maybe he'll get in contact with ecomodders in the area.

Then he'll be traveling in first class. Hope you don't suffer postpartum depression. AEROCIVIC didn't invent herself! What a great project you did. Real inspiration. We tip our hats.

Doubtlessly he'll be loading his bike into the still operable hatch. Such a wild, bold build. Seventy+ MPG without all the radical hypermiling I do. ...just cruising...

Unfortunately the sale fell through. He took it to a Honda dealer who said the inner tie rods needed replacing as well as needing a new set of tires. This added expense along with the fact that he had never driven a manual before, was having a great difficulty in mastering the clutch/brake/accelerator combo, and decided that he wasn't up to the task of driving a manual from SC back to New Hampshire made him decide to pass on the deal. The car has 130,000 miles on the current engine and transmission, a new timing belt, brakes work fine, but has a very slow brake fluid leak that requires topping off the brake fluid reservoir every year or two. The rear lexan cover is somewhat discolored and could use a good repolishing or replacement. It's still for sale, $3000 or best offer.

That sucks.
Just curious, have you had much interest from the "normies" or is it mostly just a lot of questions and comments you are receiving?

It sounds like this one was a normie. One who bikes a lot and liked a neat car on the internet, but...

But what about the rest?
I get people taking pictures of my car and posting on facebook with some of the dumbest comments. I understand if you just see it on the road/in a parking lot most people are like "wtf!?" which leads to those comments. Just curious if the general response is good or not. One of my friends works at a dealership. We both thought it would be fun to bring my car in for trade in appraisal and see what his coworkers say.
It feels wrong to compare my car to the aerocivic though. Mine is much trashier looking haha

If that lexan window is not a compound curve, it can be protected by a layer of Mylar, which is both scratch-resistant and cheap to replace.
If I was driving a car like that, I'd write its mileage in some prominent locations, and a website address.
