Sometimes they paint the ugly black, too. Case in point, the frame is generally black semigloss.

Unless it's a Ducati with its truss-frame with some parts in red to highlight its design, or some random Japanese crotch-rocket with its aluminium frame either polished or simply varnished allowing to display its natural color, it's not so easy to spot a motorcycle with its frame in any color other than black.

Not sure if you're agreeing or disagreeing with my point.

I was just trying to remember how many motorcycles with the frame in a color other than black I had ever seen. Besides some older Japanese stuff with a pressed-sheetmetal frame, none of the motorcycles I saw with a frame of any other color was a 125cc utilitiarian

My wife and I own 125cc scooters. They can cruise at 50 mph but usually struggle to maintain 55 mph (and they both have a performance exhaust and rejet).
They are very good for urban & suburban commuting (especially with the CVT and no hand clutch), but they don't have enough power for rural 2 lane highways.

I ran into a guy in a parking lot yesterday with a shiny new Honda ADV-150. He had the bike for less than a week but is loving it so far. It is his first street bike after decades of riding off-road. (The owner I ran into looked to be at least double the weight of the woman in the picture below)

I recently had a talk with a guy who owns a Honda ADV 150, near the spot where I took that picture of the red Honda CG 125i and the black CG 160, and he was absolutely satisfied with that scooter.

Scooters are not so often as rev-happy as a more standard motorcycle, and the gearing is also more strictly optimized for inner-city traffic. Most of the times I would only recommend a scooter above 200cc to be used as an all-around commuter if highway stretches are required.
