Keep in mind that this test cap is only fer aerodynamic testing. Not moving on to a security aero cap until much later (if at all). One of my key goals is to make it so I can take it apart fairly easily...maybe 4 pieces (2 sides, top, and front support rail) plus the bolts/pins that keeps it all together.
Maybe I could have the completed shell parts Line-X'd fer a secure layer...
Where abouts in Texas are you at?

If it works well, it'll be hard to take it off again

The same could be said about my first belly pan...but I did.
I know I want a working hatch in the next version. Crawling under the current aero cap to git things is tough. Some angles on this version are not exact...so they have to be reworked. My main rails still have to be cut to the angles fer the side panels...
It might be tough to break down something that's working...but sometimes that's how you learn and move forward. BTW...that's why I shoot a lot of piccies.
I'll find out how well it's doing when the rain hits on Friday and I make my way to San Antonio fer the weekend. Hopefully the numbers will look better than before...

BZP looking forward to seeing those numbers also! I was think more on the lines of a belly pan instead of skirts, so your testing is a boon to making that decision.

BZP I'm in DFW area, I work in Plano and commute just over 20 miles one way. Needless to say, the fuel bill could be cut down some! Right now I ride my Harley when I can, but drive my truck if it's raining or to hot/cold.

By the way, have you thought of putting wheel covers on? You could cut the coroplast or I was thinking of using clear plexy glass.

Does yer truck have stake holes? I'm gonna be zipping through during the holidays...might be able to arrange a quick meet and you can check out what I've done in person.

Wheel covers aren't on the high priority list at the moment although they are on there. I still have the rear wheel skirts to design and fab up after I do the rear aerodynamic mud flaps. I have enough coroplast to work with so I'd probably using those instead of buying some plexiglass/lexan. Just so you know...I'd probably make enough extras so I can spot glue the first set on and then rip them off when I need access.

Gitting ready to put in my side windows...clear cellophane wrap. The same stuff you would find in a flower shop. At least I'll be able to see out the right side again. I might have to git a roll so I can put some sort of covering fer the back, too.
Piccies after the install...
