Yeah I was worried a few times, it really helps with discipline in one's driving to not have any gas left! I actually had another gallon to go and to think that I didn't drive well the whole time! I took roads that must use 3rd gear and had passengers a lot of the time, and windows open.
I'm thinking about buying a gallon and keeping it in a container just in case I ran out. I would then be able to find a gas station within 40 miles.

Without a scangauge, I would guess that going 45mph is more efficient than going 60mph. Have you calibrated your SG yet to see what the perfect speed is?

Not calibrate yet. This tank will last to Friday. hehehe.... I don't want to fill up to frequently because small number of mile/small number of gas consumption doesn't give an accurate mpg. It may take few more weeks.

That's idiotic. I hypermile to save money first, help energy independence 2nd, and help the environment 3rd. None of these purposes is served by getting anything but the straight scoop on hypermiling and ecomodding. Hopefully all of us are saving $$ that we can invest so our country can get out of this energy and credit crisis. It happened in the early '70s and it's happening now . . .

True to that. Save money.

I can see why one would lie, just because it's possible.
Not that it helps them any!

So I'm gonna go for a short fill (<200 miles) and probably get average mpgs.

I'm getting a new belt, synthetic tranny and engine oil, as well as a check on the air filter.

Hopefully my next tank is better!

I've got a bad luck today. My rear tire blew...... The warrenty doesn't cover because it blew..... Went to gas station, got poor 38mpg this tank. because the uppger grille removed? or poor calibrate SGII made me driving too light or too fast?

One thing I've learned in a hard way, don't put away your spare tire. And remember to leave the jack inside your car. Sometimes, a can of liquid won't save you. My tire broken into pieces. Tire wall has holes. I am glad I have spare tire and jack. I save $75 for not calling toll truck to change the tire for me. If I don't have a spare tire, it definitely cost much more..... And remember to buy road hazardous insurance for tires. I regretted I didin't.
