ScanGauge on '00 Dodge 2500 V10?
Does anyone know of any reason that the ScanGauge would not work on a 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 with gas V10 engine? Can it handle 10 cylinders?
Thanks!

ScanGaugeII - Compatible Vehicle List
Looks fine. The dodge Diesels have problems, but a gasser should be fine. (according to the list, of course)

Is there any difference, other then pricing, in the Scan Guage II from ecomodder compared to Linear LOgic, such as newer software or technological updates???
I noticed that Linear Logic says it has Performance Monitor, XGuage, 15 built in guages(compared to 12 on EcoModder) and 4 trip meters?
Do both have the exact same gadgets built in? If not, then I see no reason for paying an extra $20 from LL.
Thanks everyone!

I got a SCII over 5 years ago, and ended up selling it to a friend about 2 years later for $60. I got to the point where it wouldn't tell me anything I didn't already know, and got bored with it. I think it might be nice to be able to test out some more advanced techniques without having to do them on the whole tank, so I just picked up a UltraGauge.
It should be here in a few days, will I miss anything from the SCII with very early firmware?

If you send your old SGII into linear logic they'll update the firmware for a minimal fee.

My SGII had firmware 3.0 on it.
I've been using the Ultraguage for a while now, and its superior in MOST ways, except nothing ever really resets? It looks like the model that came out a week after I got mine, now has trip gauges that reset every time you start the car. When I fill the tank, the 'trip MPG' or 'AVG MPG' never resets. None of the gauges really appear to reset unless you go and manually reset them.
However, the Ultraguage reads my vehicles fuel cut as 999 MPG, and it shows an extra number to the right of the decimal on most gauges. For things like inst. GPH, this is key. The SGII said 0.3 GPH at idle, whereas the UG says 0.26, a much more useful number. It sure is harder to set up, and a bit less user friendly to use, but 6 gauges at the same time are great.
If my UG had trip gauges that reset, I would have no complaints. I might have to send it in to get it updated, it just sounds like a hassle. I still didn't go through a full tank on the UG, so id like to get it calibrated before I send it off mid-tank.

If you upgrade the SG, it'll have those features as well - 2 decimals on GPH and accurate reading of DFCO.
