I need to get my wife's 2018 Hyundai sonata back from the dealer first. They have had it for 2 months now for some still undiagnosed hybrid problem. I'm about to lemon law them since they have not even provided a loaner car.

I got my firebird going. I used an eprom piggyback module from "PCM of North Carolina" to eliminate the vehicle anti theft system. But now the six speed transmission is stuck in 4th gear from sitting for 2 years and was grinding going from 1st to 2nd gear so I bought another one.

Advertise it for $30,000 or $40,000 or whatever your dream car would cost and see what happens, unless it is your dream car.

That's the problem, it is.

An FUV would be 10.4K after the State rebate. NADA mid-book IIRC 10.5K.

If I could step from the Metro to an FUV and keep the Superbeetle single-person camper as a tow vehicle for it, that would be best. Alas.

This may be the first car from these kind of companies that actually gets sold to consumers which is saying something. It took a lot of time to get to this point. The updates compared to Elio for example show iterative stages moving to production. Elio was just spinning its wheels to generate investor hype with no movement towards production.

Arcimoto is currently producing six vehicles a day. The architectures are similar, but pitched to a different use case.

Sodium, calcium , fluoride, aluminum, urine (of all things Bill Gates) are all in various states to replace lithium.

Sodium chemistries already exist but are more of a use it or loose it material for buses / semis currently but future designs get rid of the electrolyte

Lithium water separation test sights exist on th Salton

Gasoline prices aren't exactly dropping either.

I'm listening to the webinar at the moment. The video at 4:36 is non-persuasive -- an endless parade of bodies in white in one door and out the other.

For battery technology, I recall wood-tin batteries from 2013.

phys.org/news/2013-06-environmentally-friendly-battery-wood.html

The most recent story I could find calls for copper instead of tin and lithium instead of sodium.

newatlas.com/materials/battery-solid-electrolyte-wood-trees-polymer-conductivity/

The part about the wheel pants analysis for NVH is interesting. Stiffness would fail at 250mph.
