My front wheel well skirt design has held up through over 7 years and over 180,000 miles of driving in all types of weather (rain, snow, ice, etc.) with just the occasional replacement of a worn out roller (4 so far).

Watching with interest. I never progressed beyond the single prototype front wheel skirt I tested on my Firefly/Metro. Also was a single pivot point affair.

I'm going to try for arrival on the 7th,camp on the corner, and make driver's meeting the next morning, set up my pit and get through tech inspection so I can run on the 8th and all the rest of days.
I Haven't raced since 1990 and may be required to do a handling run,so I'd like as much time as I can get on my side.

Phil/Doug- My plan is to get there on the 7th, also. Not sure what time, but definitely before dark. I should put a fin on the tail and lurk around like a shark looking for you.

project update

I finished the 'engineering' portion of the passenger side skirt last night.I added a small lead fairing to blend the air onto the outer surface of the skirt from ahead.Without the fairing, the air could get under the skirt, and at 65 mph I could hear it dancing around a bit.
This morning's commute demonstrated 'calm' with respect to the former 'dancing.'
I have 17.25-hours into this first unit.Tonight I'll Scotch-Brite it,do the self-etching primer,then topcoat it 2-hours after the primer goes on.
She's all aluminum with the exception of the roller unit itself, a bolt and nylock nut which arrests inward motion, and the tensioning spring.
