What's wrong with that post?
I disagreed with the reason for removal of the post that I carefully and thoughtfully made, and then moved on.
Some people's reaction to provoking ideas is to get bent out of shape.
I've got no less love for the person that lashed out. Really appreciate most of the stuff they've shared, including the stuff I disagree with.

If I agreed with everything here, I wouldn't come here. Not The Lounge, the whole forum. If everyone were like me I couldn't learn anything, it'd just be an echo chamber like most Facebook feeds.

In both cases, if you don't want the climate change consensus thread, or Coronavirus, you don't have to expose yourself. The freedom to isolate always exists.

I don't remember when that thread killed me off, but I burned some bridges, and it should be easy enough to figure out when that was.
Much like recent debates and arguments, it seemed like everyone was trying to convince others that they were wrong.
I left when I realized that nobody was going to change anybody's mind or stop trying. I didn't want it closed, I just felt that everybody was wasting their time.
How bad were the last posts before it was closed?
I also felt that TPgate accomplished what no amount of arguing could.
