I'm just glad the telephone (+DSL) still works.

The topic is a good one: Features and Benefits.

We're now well past the beginning of the new cycle in the Mayan calendar. We'll still experience echoes of the Cold-War insanity of the 20th Century. Expect them to get smaller over time.

Expect answers to questions like "Are there really 80 wet markets in New York City?" as the world sorts by hygienic practices.

Globalism, Hollywood and feminism are blown away like Dandelion fluff. It will be interesting to see what else never regains foothold in the new landscape.

I'm for flocking AI personal steampunk hard-vacuum dirigibles.

Well, last night the kids were really into 12 Monkeys. A couple years ago they weren't impressed.

Dave Rubin held a Netflix Party showing of The Matrix yesterday. I spent those 2 hours pulling 10-3 w ground through conduit that was too small 110 feet.

I'm way backlogged on movies because my wife doesn't enjoy the stuff I enjoy. Passengers was rated well, but nobody to watch with.

You can't find liquid soap in the stores, and you're lucky to find bleach. It's actually really worrying to think of how many people might be making homemade hand sanitizer out of that.

We've got a 10,000 gallon above ground pool, and normally I'd have already been buying a few gallons of store brand bleach every week to get a nice pile of it so we can get the pool started for the year. And I'd keep buying 2 or 3 gallons a week until fall, when it gets too cold to bother with chlorine. But there just isn't any in the stores.

So we ordered a saltwater chlorine generator, it should be here by the end of the week. Pool chemistry just got way easier and less expensive!

How do people with salt-water pools drain their pool in the winter? My family just drained the pool into the yard after letting the chlorine level drop. If you did that with a salt water pool I suspect you would salt the ground enough over time to keep anything from growing.
