It doesn't discolor, but I've experienced micro-cracking even when heat-formed.
My own Bonanza glazings also had this feature. Her age is unknown though, as I only had the fuselage.
'Planes of Fame', flying museum aircraft of WW-II vintage also displayed this micro-cracking, and some hazing.

If you had the fuse, then you had the data plate with the Serial number which would give you a month year date using published data

Everything ahead of the firewall was gone, excepting the lower tunnel, with a few hard-points for engine attachment.
I would have kept the plate had I had it.
The N-number painted on the rear was incomplete, as part of the boom and all of the V-tail was gone also.

Fwiw on my Pacer there were 2 metal stamped serial numbers: one right next to the CG loft / plumb bob dimple spot co pilot front door. T'other on the mount for the elevators jack screw which might have been added by other parties. Wings and other stuff had numbers, but you did say yours are not adjacent.

Yeah, this was strictly the fuselage, and not complete. If I'd had a N-number I could have traced the chain of custody. I would have liked to know the story.
I paid $ 80 for it, and probably learned a $1,000-worth of 'airframe' data from it before recycling it.
BEECHCRAFT really knows something about aluminum construction. It was a joy to tear into it. And the kids out here loved the 'crashes' and hapless mannequins in my yard at Halloween!

Well, engine doesn’t quite run yet. I’ve got it installed and ready to go, but didn’t notice it had no Knock Sensor. Still waiting to get that done.
My brother gave me a funny Katana shift knob for Christmas, and it’s so long with the stock shifter that it smacks my AC buttons in 3rd gear. I ended up building a custom short shifter, check it out:

Pardon my welds, I’m glad they will be covered by the boot. The ABEC 7 bearings should help smooth out the stroke.
This weekend I’ll be welding up a custom exhaust. My first exhaust was made to quiet the car, but it sounds terrible and I’ve grown to like some exhaust noise. I want something lighter as well.

There was an issue with the last picture. Looks like you accidently deleted the first half of the IMG coding
Welds look good, or atleast better than mine. If you can't make a good looking weld all it takes is a grinder/file I've been learning that one my self.

Thanks guys!
The Kanjozoku have definitely inspired me. OTOH, I’m getting into rally cars slowly. I might run a low car like the Kanjo runners in the warm seasons and a slightly lifted car in the winter. I can’t really make my car fast or powerful as it’s a MPG build, so might as well make it fun.
Welds are welds, in the end. I just find mine so ugly considering how much I’ve been welding. Grinding them down stresses me out, as I feel it weakens the joint.

I see nothing wrong with these welds.
