As far as I can tell, the vertical swivel shaft is perpendicular to the frame. The forks are angled back. The caster angle changes depending on the attachment point on the tow vehicle when compared to the levelness of the frame. The hitch has up to 5" of adjustment (1" increments).

Everything held up on the trip back. Indicated mileage was closing in on 28mpg until I ran into some holiday traffic.
I'll need to calculate the rest of my runs...
I'm planning on some major changes to Dark Aero. I might end up pulling the body back off and revamping it towards the template.

Calculated mileage of 27.43mpg at 65mph with rain and holiday traffic from Ardmore to College Station.
Calculated mileage of 26.06mpg at 65mph with rain, holiday traffic, and construction stop and go from Wichita to Ardmore.

Thinking about installing a 2" receiver below the reflective bar and use that as my jack point. I would have to bolt a 2" tube to the trailer jack which would allow me to insert it into the receiver and pin it in place. No more bolting or unbolting. I would have to make sure to crank the trailer over so the wheel pant would not be in the way.
3500 Lb. Capacity Step Bumper Receiver
Looks like I could also install the rear lights and license plate under the reflective bar which would then allow me to plan taper the back end down. I would install a flip up bracket fer the license plate which would hide the receiver hitch.
I would have to beef up the extended section that I have on there now with some better steel brackets and better horizontal plate fer the receiver hitch to be attached to.

I've got pair of NSX taillights. They'd fit well being basically a corner off a cube, with diagonal stripe lights.

The light pictured was offered for $75; I got a pair for more like $20, but they are missing the twist in light bases.
They're a long way away and I'm cash-poor. Would you cover the shipping (they're pretty light)? I'd be honored to have them go onto Dark Aero.

Thanks fer the offer but I will stay with my current low profile setup. I might even think about installing another 2 sets of LED lights in the back so I will have a total of 8 lights at the end. I'm sure there shouldn't be any issues of anyone not being able to see them all!

Less work for me, and I get to say I tried.
I may still find some use for them. I watched them until everything-is-50%-off day. They're boxed up someplace.
They're a little square-ish for the back of my Superbeetle.

Found out something interesting tonight from a local who was checking out the rig. The aeronautics course does coast down testing out by the local airport. I guess I need to find out what's out there...

coastdown
This might be a segue into one of their 5-wind tunnels.
