Current view from about 100' away...
While I was parked at the grocery store, I was approached and asked about the rig. Found out he was a pilot and seemed very interested in my project. We chatted fer about a good 30 minutes and gave him a run down of the various capabilities of the rig. Maybe I should take aerohead's suggestion about making up a flyer with all the various bits of info about the rig. I don't mind talking about the setup but it sure would give the curious something to read about.
Measured the distance from the rear axle and to the end of Dark Aero and it was about 11'2" long. I wonder how the slope of the diffuser to the end compares to the template and ground effect.

Have it printed on vinyl and put it on the side of the bed. Or 70s-style magnetic stick-on signage.

Well...the whole purpose of having a flyer so they can read it at their leisure and not trying to follow the rig trying to read it. Magnetic sign would eventually disappear because someone else would want to take it with them. Besides, the cost of paper is cheaper than a sign.

Rear dimensions of Dark Aero are 22" high by 39" wide.
Back end sits 15" from the ground.

With a clearance of 8" from the rear axle to the ground, I can roughly calculate the exit angle of the rear diffuser to the back end of Dark Aero.
Right Triangle Angle And Side Calculator
15" - 8" = 7" (Side a)
11'2" = 134" (Side b)
Angle A =2.99 degrees
So the exit angle is 2.99 degrees.

I was thinking for when it's parked and you're not around. Okay, so maybe a display rack with a waterproof flap. Put a QR code on the printed page that takes them to this thread?
I thought departure angle was measured from the tire contact patch. Or the sine of 15/134.

Exit angle I'm calculating fer is the diffuser and the extension of Dark Aero/boat tail not the departure angle fer ground contact/collision.

I was told earlier in this thread that most people don't even use them much less than them having the appropriate app on their smart phone to read the QR code. Fer that reason alone, I didn't pursue that avenue of placing a QR code on Dark Aero.
