Lopped off the extra bits and hit it with a quick coat of paint.

Since this trailer jack was designed to swivel out of the way via a spring loaded locking pin, I can git about an extra 4" of lift by swivelling the tubing to the top setting. Fer storage, I can swivel the tubing so it is pointing up which makes it more compact to store. This setup makes it easy to deploy and use to in order to lift the rear of the trailer.

I would be tempted to try it on the back of the truck but I don't want to screw it up.
I considered having the tubing welded perpendicular to a steel plate and then I could bolt the assembly to the jack so the crank handle would be on the back end instead on the side. It would make fer easier cranking but it would also make storage of the jack a little more difficult unless I unbolted the assembly. The tubing would be offset so it would still have the option of extra lift, too!
I can git extra lift by placing one of the spare tires under the jack wheels to git another 4" of lift as well as keeping the dual wheels locked in place.
As far as I know, no other single wheel trailer has a tire jack solution built in to their trailer.

Rear of Dark Aero is 22" tall x 39" wide = 858 square inches.
My truck rear end is 39" tall x 72" wide = 2808 square inches.
858 ÷ 2808 = .3055555555555556
So 30.56% of the original area of the rear of the truck including the rear wheel strakes and rear diffuser. About a 69.5% reduction over 7' of boat tail.

- Back it up to a cinder block wall
- trace the outline of the back
- count the cinder blocks inside the outline.
