Yes! I noted the mandated "safety chains" and thought... good, when the trailer comes off, it'll drag the truck backwards wherever it's going!

A jack knife with that trailer would be a hell of a ride. Expecially considering Im pretty sure the trailer outweighs the truck- even empty.

Panic is cute. I love the people in freebeard's gif who all ran directly away from the truck, not directly away from the truck's line of travel (yes, the guy on the right moved in what looks like the right direction, but he was also closest to that end of the car).

I can't outrun a runaway truck, but I stand a much better chance of moving 20 or 30 feet to get out of its way!

Like in the movies when people try to out run boulders, when they would probably have a better chance running at an angle?

Merry Christmas!

"Panic is cute" is shadenfreude, not that there's anything wrong....

I think they did the right thing, getting the cars between themselves and the tanker.

Transport Evolved got a pusher trailer?

No. but it is a scaled-down fiberglass reproduction of a Westfalia teardrop.

Just A Car Guy: first, I saw the Airstream, then I wondered how it was so buried in a plush garden, then I learned it was a musician's that I've never heard of, then I wondered how a musician could afford the garden, much less the adjoining mini home

Lots of trailer stuff on JACG this morning. This Airstream is much like mine, except it's a recreational trailer that's only 7ft wide, while mine is a commercial Airstream that's 8ft wide. Makes a difference.

She paid $2K for it, more than twice what mine cost (18 years ago). OTOH her's isn't in a trailer park.

Also, I'd had this idea. Someone implemented it:

Just A Car Guy: good heavens..... if Airstream had thought of this 60 years ago!

Also squared:

Just A Car Guy: whoa... that nails it

Has anyone ever seen an Avion with that corner window treatment?
