I almost never watch Hallmark, but I often hear the beginning of a Liberty Mutual commercial as I work on something in the other room and yell at Mom so she can mute it.
She screams when she hears their jingle. It is just as charming as it sounds.

I'd think pulling it on a trailer would save more gas than putting it on the roof.
I put a Jetski fully inside my Subaru Legacy once. With the bow touching the windshield, the hatch could just close.

It's a data point. The best control would be pulling the trailer with the jetski on the roof.  But that wasn't the purpose of the exercise.
At the least, I would've put the front skis on the windshield header. To prevent oil-canning the roof and who knows if jetskis generate uplift at freeway speeds.

As far as the thread title goes - would that still be valid if the pickup truck is a Cybertruck?
Hauling stuff in a Cybertruck may require far less charging stops than toing a trailer with any other Tesla.
Hypothetical of course until the Cybertruck is on sale.
