14ga is fine for lighting circuits.

With all the complexity inherent toupgrades required by residential electric installations, I would be quite concerned about an increase to the fire hazard.

I will rebuild Black and Green over decades as parts die, until it becomes a different car of roughly the same shape and color. My minimum fuel economy goal is 55 mpg while averaging posted speed limits. I generally top 60 mpg. See also my Honda manual transmission specs thread.

That assumes battery tech does not solve that problem by 2035. I mean, NiMh batteries don't have as much trouble with cold as certain Lithium chemestries, right? Stands to reason that currently unavailable options might solve or mitigate the problem. After all, by 2035 we will have graphene or solid state or some other day dream realized, right?

There wasn't enough niclkle to meet the demand for Toyota to make the prius, the nickle price spoked up to $30 per pound when adjusted for inflation back in 2007.

Cadmium-based batteries fare even better under harsher environmental conditions, no wonder they're still are (or were about 6 years ago) the most common to be found on airliners.

Graphene sounds good, and so do solid-state capacitors at least in theory, but I still take the all-EV approach with a grain of salt. |
