Deer whistles

I think the stylists were going for jet fighter machine gun sights.

Check out the smooth underside!
My mate is currently restoring one of these here in the UK

Grassroots Motorsports did a major hop-up on a Berkeley; they called it the Berzerkeley. IIRC, it kept wanting to go back to its motorcycle roots--by going up on two wheels in the corners!

Here is a 1966 kit car a guy has on my mail route. This thing is LOW. Rear 2180 cc VW powered so no grill penetrations in front. This is an older pic and the car has deteriorated some but the new owner is bringing it back.

Wow, that Astra is sweet. Kit car. Cool. Check out the angle of that rear window and trunk. Nice. And I bet those rear wheels would take a flat and flush set of wheel well skirts really easily.

I think it might even take front skirts with narrower tires and different offset. The normal version of this car doesn't have the wheel flairs at all.

That explains why they are popular at Bonneville...

Around the neighborhood

A set of pics from the neighborhood. I had done a whole write-up but it failed to post when I submitted, so I am just gonna post up the pics quickly. I think some of these features are really interesting.
