Classic cars aero features spotted in the wild (modded & OEM)
A new thread, I guess, specifically for pics of aero features of classic cars, but stictly "spotted in the wild" instead of gathered online. Pics that show how things are mounted, or that zero-in on the mod itself specifically welcomed.
And I posted a new album of more pics, too, mixed with engines and other features, which I'll edit and add to this thread when I have a bit more time: Fuel Economy, Hypermiling, EcoModding News and Forum - EcoModder.com - California98Civic's Album: Classic and Hot Rod car shows

Funny: when I read the thread title, the first "mod" that came to mind is the one you posted.

Right? The most obvious one. And here is another obvious one, another pic I took in sunny Cali yesterday:
It's a seemingly OEM airdam on a Bentley.

Airdams are used by auto manufactures to increase the cooling effectiveness of the radiator, not aero for mpg.

All taken at the Watkins Glen Vintage Gran Prix Festival.
Air scoop on a Fiat.
Nash Airflyte.
Buick Riviera and Vette.
I don't know if the 911 spoiler oil cooler counts, but I like it anyway.
Alfa Romeo.
Shelby Daytona Coupe.

Wow. Gasolinefumes. Bagging that Fiat and the Alpha Romeo are serious accomplishments! Amazing plumage. Check out that "box cavity" like design on the aft portion of the Alpha Romeo... awesome.

I forgot about the 1958 Berkeley. Front wheel drive with an air-cooled 2-stroke twin from a motorcycle under the hood.
Check out the smooth underside!
