Another uncle Jordan quote???
Or did you took if from oil company?
The science took us ahead, but the greed can lead to destruction if we polute water, destroy nature space, polute air, create greed and idiot people.
It's a matter of balance, and I'm not seing balance, just greed and stupidity.

I see nothing that couldn't be as easily attributed to Buckminster Fuller.
What do you think of the theory that the harsh and forbidding climate of space will burn the evil out of space monkeys?

aerohead — Thanks for the thanks. If you watch the movie (I know Oliver Stone is a controversial director) Let me know what you think. It's the only American movie that shows the Vietnamese side. The young woman goes from bound and kneeling next to an open [communist] grave to an American supermarket. It's quite the story.

The chicoms claim R11 makes better foam cheaper.

I will. There's only something like 30 papers that have been published, all proven in nature on solar forcing for cyclones.

It was a question. 'No Opinion' would have been acceptable. It wasn't a trap, just looking for a 2nd opinion.
If anything it was a veiled reference to a John Prine song. "Space monkey, space monkey What you doing out there? Why it's dark as a dungeon way up in the air."

I agree. What's wrong with a little warming. I wanna live in the cheap and beautiful Arkansas, but with the winter weather of Florida. I tried to see the beautiful in Texas, but its ugly. Shooo...

news.slashdot.org: Climate Models Are Running Red Hot, and Scientists Don't Know Why (bloomberg.com)
Quote:
There are dozens of climate models, and for decades they've agreed on what it would take to heat the planet by about 3 Celsius. It's an outcome that would be disastrous -- flooded cities, agricultural failures, deadly heat -- but there's been a grim steadiness in the consensus among these complicated climate simulations. Then last year, unnoticed in plain view, some of the models started running very hot. The scientists who hone these systems used the same assumptions about greenhouse-gas emissions as before and came back with far worse outcomes. Some produced projections in excess of 5C, a nightmare scenario.
[snip]
The reason for worry is that these same models have successfully projected global warming for a half century. Their output continues to frame all major scientific, policy and private-sector climate goals and debates, including the sixth encyclopedic assessment by the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change due out next year. If the same amount of climate pollution will bring faster warming than previously thought, humanity would have less time to avoid the worst impacts.
|
Are the models trending hotter or is the actual climate trending colder?
