Cool Site

Hey everybody, I been a lurker for a while and finally had the opportunity to join and post. I drive a 08 GMC/Chevy Canyon/colorado with a 4 cyl/5spd.

I currently can squeeze a max of 33 combined for my 62 mile commute. I hope to achieve 40 for the heck of it.

Josh

Welcome! You're already getting really good mpgs for your truck. Mikeyjd on here has his Tacoma, called Smudge, up over 40 mpg. You might can glean some ideas from his ride.

Welcome to the site Josh. Good job with the Colorado already.

I'd suggest making a garage entry and fuel log to track your mileage here. Got any mods planned?

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

I have the "desire" to order hptuner and do and 50/50 tune.
grill block, tape the fog light openings. Install a bed cover. Dump the rear bumper and install a roll pan. Lower the truck another 2 inches. Pull the bedsides to be more flush with the wheels.

wish I could add a picture but i'm not over the 5 post requirement yet.

Hey,

Read up on JRMichlerFuel Economy, Hypermiling, EcoModding News and Forum - EcoModder.com - View Profile: JRMichler and his ride "Nameless," he has pushed past 40mpg a few times and is driving a Canyon that's a couple years older than yours. His lifetime average is close to 33, very good for a truck that size.

Thanks Elhigh for the share.

I ran across one of his posts before. Pretty amazing really. to pull off that kind of mpg with a crewcab and completely stock except for the things he has done. I hope I can achieve that with the type of hills I live around.
