crazy weird Toyota camper

I would imagine he made it that way to improve it's cda while still being useful as a camper. Apologies if this is not news.

Interesting!

Food for thought. Loose that pointy tail where it all hinges. Flat door at that point would be simpler, lighter, keep usable interior space, and focus on attached flow.

Well, it's not exactly laminar flow, and the black panels would make things toasty on any sunny day south of Nome, but it does show what can be done with a basic pickup truck shape.

I wonder about his rear wheel wells, and why skirts were not used.

Yeah I saw that too, should say "attached flow". 29mpg in a 4 cylinder? not too bad when you include the weight added and the fact you don't have to pull a camper.
