Driving with 3 passengers and a trunk full of stuff, and averaging 3.5 l/100km (67 mpg US) over 400km.
Next day I get 3.1 l/100km (76 mpg US) over 80km - no passengers or cargo, but with rear seats and no engine preheating.
Then the return: 4 passengers and even more cargo, plus a few small traffic jams, but still managed 3.6 l/100km (65 mpg US) over 350km. Then I drove the last passenger home and had the car to myself for the last 40km, so the engine was off more often than on, bringing the day's average down to 3.5, and bringing the coolant temps down too.

Upon returning home the fuel tank needle was on the halfway mark, over 1000km on the odo, and the onboard computer estimates another 880km until the next fill up. Of course, it'll be sooner than that, unless I drove like I drive the last 40km...

Nothing like the sound of a Merlin to get me awake in the morning. Several years ago, before I moved from California, I got to see the HE-111 and B-17 of the CAF fly over my house, I wish I had gotten video of it since the HE-111 crashed back in '03

I have to admit to a small personal 'moment' as the Merlins shook the windows

I would love to have seen a B17 or a HE111 even with the non-synchronised engines...

It's been EXACTLY one month since my rant about the rooster waking me up.
For about the last three weeks, he has stayed at least 70 yards away, so the situation became more tolerable!
Only 3-4 days ago; the coveniance store clerk was still mimicing the rooster, but I've turned soft, and have done a great job of just trying to ignore the whole issue. The slingshot has yet to come out of its shipping wrapper.

The 2nd rooster has been gone for quite some time now; and for about the last 24 hrs; I've been almost holding my breath daring to believe.............Now that I think it's really true; I dare to share!!!!...................

I live in a rural setting, outside the nearest town limits. That means for the 4th of July; almost any thing goes! I heard all the normal M-80's, rifle shots, and all conventional fireworks here that anyone could imagine!!

Apparently, that noise caused Roostie to run away, maybe he got scared and ran into the road and is no more....maybe he got shot, or died of a heart attack. I don't know anything except for 2 mornings now in a row; I hear NO ROOSTER SOUNDS; not even the the one he called/answered to some 4 houses away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel like DANCING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll expect to see a negative feedback on that one in a few days(been in a similar situation before nad didn't last very long), but hopefully you'll have better luck than I did.

I read the daily annoyances for a bit of light humor .
BTW, why would annoyances be funnier than things which make you smile

we dwell on others pain (human nature), while things that make others smile aren't necessarily funny

Mrs A hitting 85 MPG in the Prius, without any effort. I think she likes it.
