Yeah, thats what I plan to do tonight. I'll just leave some accessories on in acc mode while monitoring the battery voltage. Then, I'll charge it up via the jumper cable access.

Well, Thursday night I drained the battery down again. This time I put the headlights on and listened to the radio while I was doing some stuff in the garage. I took the voltage down to the high 10V range and then stuck it on the charger overnight.

It is now Saturday morning and I just went out to check on the car. It is about 10F warmer than it was last time I checked the battery, but it is now at a solid 12.3V. So, it appears things are improving! I'll probably cycle it deep one or two more times this weekend to see if it helps anymore.

Well, the next mod has been started... I don't want to give too much away, but it involves some of these.

Cool!

Be careful. The New York Times had an article that claims such technologies won't have an impact until 2030 ... <GRINS>

Kit or roll your own?

I got the Enginer kit. Its just way too cheap to pass up right now. I couldn't even buy all the components for as cheap as the kit is.

Excellent!

I know that LiON battery chargers are even more challenging than NiMH and they are pretty sensitive. Knowing you're going with an established design is a very good thing ... especially in this area.

At least you can paint the the shiny washers to blend the "bling" with their background, looks sort of cheesy for a Prius

Dude...
Dooooood.
DUDE!

When are we going to put it in? Or are you getting Eric to install it? You know that Tom, Rich, and the boys will want to tinker with it as well.

Wait a minute...Won't the Prius now have two plugs? One for block heater, and one for the Plug-In kit!

The right way to do it is to parallel them.
