Need help instaling a Kill Switch

Hello

Can anyone please help me installing a Kill Switch on my Fiat Bravo 1.4 T-jet

I have the engine service manual, just need someone to point me to the correct cables so I can do something like this mod:

http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...sti-26749.html

I like Sedi_Sol idea because seems very simple and clean

The ECU pin-outs is annexed is here for your consideration:

Since the manual have many useful information about how the ECU uses the sensors I decided to post the complete document:

Cheers

I wired a kill switch into my car using the crank sensors wire that runs into the ECU.
It does throw a *check engine light* on the VW but it will not on all cars (check on a Fiat Bravo forum for the preferred method)

2 wires run from the sensor under the hood to the ecu ,your wiring diagram will give you the color code to find the wires in the loom , expose the loom sheathing just ahead of the ECU itself to search for and splice into and solder in some wire and a on/off switch, mounted somewhere in a inconspicuous yet convenient place to use.
But
You could also wire in a fuel injector kill switch , which would shut the motor down as well.
Or wire into the ignition , which may work the best way to avoid a check engine light.

With the crank sensor kill switch I did to my car it causes a check engine light Plus I need to cycle the ignition one turn back then forward( a issue caused by VW's security ignition system)

If I was to do it again I would use a ignition kills switch in hopes the *VW* would not need its key cycled to start again on the next jump start.

I suggest you check the Fiat Bravo forums for the best method.

Different cars react differently to kill switching. My old honda del sol, i kill switched the ignition ground.

However, on the Sti...the ignition ground also merges with other sensors and components, therefore, killing the ignition made my dash board light up like a christmas tree. After some experimentation, i resorted to the crankshaft position sensor kill switch.

You'll just have to experiment! But i'll take a look at your service manual to see if i can find any possible solutions.

Thank's for the help guys

I just want to make sure I don't kill my car with a wrong wire combination

I do a lot of EOC using the ignition key, the kill switch will be a nice upgrade

it looks like you have a training manual...its kind of vague.

from all i can tell, you may want to put a kill switch on #11 ignition wires or #13 fuel injectors or #6 fuel pump. however, i strongly suggest AGAINST from tapping into any wires that go into the ECU.

Fuel pump #6 will not yield the best results because it still takes 3-5 seconds before it completely shuts off, therefore, it spits unused fuel into the combustion chamber.

However, if you're able to find the SERVICE MANUAL...it would be a lot more helpful in looking for alternatives on where to install your kill switch.

didnt see anything helpful in that one either.

Do you have the wiring diagram for the engine bay from the service manual?

Can you post up the entire service manual on your google drive? I need to see the descriptions of each of the wiring circuits....similar to the diagrams I put in my thread.
