the red hatch was no good so i got the white one later. that is the new subframe. ive replaced it already.[IMG][/IMG]
the coilovers are swapped for a set of ground controls. the best in my opinion. now the the black panel i found on a non a/c equipped cx last week in the junkyard. first one ive ever seen it factory bolts in the place of the a/c condenser. awesome. man i hate a/c.[IMG][/IMG]
all the carbon parts i pulled off. kept the hood. last week my buddy i got the car from gave me another carbon hood and very hard to find carbon fiber roof liner. got all the parts priced for 300.00 someone is going to pick them up nextweek.[IMG][/IMG]

Great project, but why are you removing all the carbon fiber? It is lighter than most other materials, no? Are you replacing it with lighter stuff? Just wondering. Thanks for all the pics.

Ha, I asked the same question earlier in this thread.

And plus i love working on cars, carbon fiber fenders are a pain in the ass to work with when in the engine bay because you more worried about cracking them than doing your job.

sorry for the long wait people. Ive successfully been driving the car for the last few months. Boy ive been having a few problems leading up to the newest. broke two brand new axles, two valve cover gaskets, 3 sets of plugs, front main seal and rear main seal, and now- blow headgasket. But thats what happens when you buy a 300,000 mile engine. Added a few things along the way. aluminum crankshaft pulley, Vx wheels powdercoated orange. Kumho ecosolus tires. removed the pass. seat. built a aluminum box and relocated the battery. added the oil catch can. removed the autozone intake and built one using sr20det intercooler piping. it worked perfect. removed that tsudo full exhaust. went back to stock with a tip. modded a ebay header to reduce down to factory piping. And I had to add a radio got tired of road noise. removed a few things also. when i had all the problems out. i was averaging on shell gas(the best i found) 44 mpg doing 70-75 on the interstate. i will load up some pictures soon. i have not started the aero stuff yet cause had some bad stuff happen at home took awhile to get back on my feet and in a couple weeks im going to afghanistan. so i used my time wisely. im waiting for a reply on a vx engine and will be the only driveline mode left. ill wash the car and get some pics this week
