Not bad, one of the better articles I have seen that does make us out as engine off villans. I do have a thought though, we are not considered the norm, yet if you break it down we are driving these vehicles as they were intended, with good maintainance, sensible driving, non abusive speed and a respect for the law, funny how that makes us an extreme minority.

This story popped up in my Google Alerts this morning and I forgot to post to say congrats. It's a decent article for sure.

Nice cover shot AL ! When she contacted me I was hesitant to reply (From reading all the negative press about people like us) But when I talked to her she seemed positive. I was very happy with the results also. Great job!

I don't know if its just me but I've never let people get behind me if I can help it (no, I don't think they're trying to draft me...). If I see someone on my 6 and fast, I will change lanes if possible or if not -- speed up until I can change lanes or give the guy coming up a chance to get into a more clear lane to pass.

I call that road courteousy. Since I've started HM back in June, I have yet to break 55mph on about 400 miles of driving and I've been passed a lot. (Average drive about 2 drivers every 10 miles will pass me or I will move over so they can keep going)

The guy who commented sounds like he's got other issues and is scapegoating other drivers who are IN HIS WAY... but I don't want to overgeneralize like he did.

If it is any consolation GREG, they picked a goofy picture of me!

I also was hesitant and asked (prior to the interview/ride & drive) if it was a 'positive' spin on the article.

By the way, nice mpg out of the metro!

Xspire

Just ran across the short video clip that she had taken of the car and part of the ride & drive. It is posted on Intelligenceronline.com and YouTube. Not the best quality and the sound fluctuates, but here it is...
