Extra fun fact: When I was a kid, I clearly remember the geography class where the teacher dropped the bombshell that the southernmost point in Ontario is further south than California's northern border.

My house is at 46.92, so yes I am indeed further north than you are.

The 45th Parallel run just North of Salem, OR. There's a sign on I-5.
"54°40" or Fight"

OK. That explains it. I gave up on those decades ago. Yes, chasing beads all over the car. I use these mesh ones year round because I seldom find car seats with enough lumbar support. https://www.amazon.com/Multi-use-Lum...ateway&sr=8-16

parting gift: tank record
Yay! The Irksome Metro is off the road until late fall! Driving the 30 year-old MPGiata feels like the height of refinement by comparison.
As a parting gift, the Metro's last fill was 77 mpg US = 3 L / 100 km. Best ever.
Amazingly: nothing new broke during this tank.
I thought the previous fill-up might have been a little short (because it was also a record), with the result that this week's fill would come in lower to even things out... but nope! My usual 3-click method filled it to the top of the neck.
Impressive for a piece of @*$&!

RE92 past its best-before date
This happened sometime since July, while the car sat parked in the driveway:
Let that be a lesson to you all!
It's still holding air... but I suppose it's time to put the next set of new-to-me RE92's on the car, eh?
I'm putting the irksome Metro back on the road in a couple of weeks. I've almost forgotten how much I dislike it!

Don't park your car?
Things go downhill when parked, but that is ridiculous.
