The only but here is the legality, as I am not sure if it's needed to be installed at the conversion box supplier.

if my calculations are right, it could pay itself in 2 years. and the box can be removed and installed to another car if I wished to

How much cheaper is ethanol ?

I would assume that if you could install it yourself you may have to have the car inspected.

There are a few here who mix ethanol in with the petrol.

hmm it's 400euros for the conversion. (it requires a inspection)

ethanol is about 53 percent cheaper than 98 that I get 5,9L/100km/40MPG on

soo if consumption sinks to 7,7L/100km/30,5 MPG

I would save 233 euros a YEAR.

at 28 mpg/8L/100km I would save 175 European pesos

I am considering the conversion if I get the job at the fur packaging company=Money

Got the job.

And found a cheaper DIY box for €170.

Also my average MPG took a huge hit. I had to tow stuff around.

and blocked the grille partially. Temps rose significantly. I was even forced to open up the block a bit, it was too effective

Most have to do several versions before they find what is right. That is why I have several and I swap them. The one I have now works well from 10*C down to around 0*C, the engine temp has been a bit low this last week but as it is predicted to get warmer this week comming it is staying on.

My consumption is about 35 mpg by guessing from the fuel gauge's position.

Also changed the oil to Teboil 5w-40 and put GL-4 80W-90 synthetic Mobil oil into the gearbox.

IT IS SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTH.

holy damn, how viscous stuff is the Biltema mineral gear oil compared to synthetic?

it pulls better, even in 5th gear!

I am thinking of following your lead next year and change my gear box oils to synthetic.

I took my truck out yesturday and the gears were rather stiff, so I think the gearbox and diff will definately get something new.

As for the Feltema stuff well it must be at the bottom of the quality range. I look forward to seeing how you get on with it in the long run and then I am hopeful that I will achieve similar good results.
