I wonder if I had the heart to start stripping the Wagon.

probably the next car, lol.

I'd like a car as simple as possible.

Maybe I'll buy some rusted-out Vaz 2107, and part the interior.

(or just go the easy way and buy me a Samara. almost he same as the Wagon but shorter, smaller and noisier. And is light as a feather. Could make it a real rat car)

a friggin' buggy would be nice, but we have a pretty cold climate sometimes.

I am looking at traditional ladas, anyhow.

I could fit a 1200L with magneto ignition, I could hand-crank it to start even if the battery's dead, due to the mechanic fuel pump

You could still make it fully enclosed, like one that I've spotted last year in Florianópolis. But I'm sure you would rather fit a Lada powertrain into it instead of Volkswagen

Not sure if a magneto is required at all. IIRC the old Ladas already had some provision for hand-crank to use when the battery got frozen.

Hey Fingie, just got caught up with your thread. Car is interesting... resembles an early-90s wagon, and even looks like it has vestigial rear wheel skirts.

BTW, if you're still interested in putting that mileage graphic in your signature, just paste this in there, with [IMG] tags around it. It'll auto-update:

That would be funny to build, but Finland's roadway laws restrict us in a variety of ways.

I guess it would be easier to build a custom trike, but I'm not sure if you would be willing to ride it in the winter

Anyway, it's quite surprising that a trike would be more likely to be deemed roadworthy while a sandrail buggy would provide more safety.
