The STFT are maxed at +32% when in LB. As soon as the switch is turned off, the numbers crash down to -4% - +5%.
I'll have to draw out a diagram tonight and upload it to be absolutely clear. I have a wire connected to the MAF signal wire going into the PCM. This wire runs to a switch that is connected to a penitometer. From the penitometer, a wire runs to a main ground. When the switch is on, it allows voltage to come through the penitometer, which "divides" the voltage. It takes some of the voltage and grounds it out, but sends the rest to the PCM. The PCM sees a low MAF voltage and reduces the amount of fuel injected.

Sounds like LTFT has already made its adjustment to the new injectors. Also it looks like STFT is adjusting when toggled off/on so I would just do a off for about 4 to 5 seconds right before the 10 minute mark to keep PCM happy and that should let you enjoy your lean burn.

That is what I thought. Although the time varies from 1 minute to 10 minutes. It seems that if I put too much load (above 63%) on the car for any reason in LB, it will go into OL a lot sooner. Tygen1 said that this is just a quirk to our setup, and is normal.
I filled up last night... And really wish i didn't. I got 47.5 mpg this time around, which is exceptionally good for the ZX2, but my worst fill in over a month! My ScanGauge reported 56.6 mpg and needing 5.9 gallons. It took 7.2 gallons
I'm at a total loss as to how it could happen. Is lean burn not workingand could it be tricking my ScanGauge? I feel the power loss when I flip my switch, so I know something is happening... I really need to get a wideband O2 so I can see what AFRs I am running.
Help!

Scangauge is not accurate with leanburn because one way it figures mpg is the maf/map. You need a MpGuino that uses injector fuel flow.

I know a fella with a mpguino that doesn't need it anymore...I'm sure he'd let you have it for a reasonable price...

I would run another tank before getting to concern.
The other thing that could be happening is some parts of load while in lean burn will have poor BSFC numbers and the engine becomes less efficient then if it was at stioch. In a N/A engine the window for great lean burn BSFC is a lot smaller then when running a boost engine. On my Insight I have noticed this verses my Talon. The Talon has a much bigger window and is a lot easier to keep in efficient lean burn. So this still could become a driving learning curve more then anything. To really know whats going on you will need a way to read A/F and injector pulse width or a MpGuino.

Thank you for the replies y'all!
Iveyjh- it seems like I have heard that before... I'm going to work on getting a MPGuino installed by the beginning of October.
Tygen1- I hear ya!
Pgfpro- I am going to go through another tank as you have suggested. I'm hoping that it was a massive overfill, as I did change pumps... But! I went back to my original pump. When I switched to a different pump, nothing changed...
I have noticed at different speeds that there is less pulling power at light loads. About the best speed is 44 mph, turning 1700 rpm. I have thought that LB increased your BSFC across the board due to making the engine more efficient?
I will be getting a mpguino soon, along with a Wideband O2 and display Innovate LC2 Wideband O2 DB 52mm Kit Red Gauge Display LC 2 Tuner Combo | eBay

BabyDiesel... I read this to mean that you should add a turbo.

Me and pgfpro have talked about turbocharging my ZX2! Alas, the funds are not here at the moment, nor foreseeable future my motor would really need a rebuild with it having nearly 280,000 miles if I were to go turbo.
After reading Donkey CRX's post about how he keeps his Insight in LB mode, I think I can do without a turbo and still get the high mpgs I am seeking

What are the specific issues keeping you from turbocharging? List them out, I'd like to know.
This is fun, I hope the ecomodding bug doesn't bite me again :-)
