How much do you spend (gas/money) on your daily comute?

Getting better gas mileage is great but it's also about how far you have to commute to work/school each day.

So how much gas/money does it cost you for your daily commute?

74 miles round trip commute @ 47.8 mpg 2010 average

I use 1.55 gallons of gas a day which is $5.47 per day at $3.53 a gallon.

I walk just under a mile one way, and come home for lunch so a little over 3 miles a day. The cost is new boots every couple of years.

From last 12 months : 37 to 99mi/day @ 63.05mpg and 6.13$/g is 3.59 to 9.62$/day. Happily I'm saving 44.33%, else I would pay 80% more...

Denis.

Got my job THEN went house hunting; parameter being within bicycling distance. Bicycled most of the time even when gas was 99 cents/gallon. Now bicycle even more. Total costs/fuel costs negligible.

1 gallon of diesel fuel per day. Cost varies with the pump price and/or amount of biodiesel blended.
